Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position:
We are looking for a creative, innovative Kaiako (teacher) who's an expert in Science, to join our team based in one of Te Kura regional offices: Wellington, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Hastings, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wairoa, Tauranga, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill or Queenstown.
It's an exciting time at Te Kura as we continue to innovate and transform the way we provide distance learning. In our online environment, we work with the latest technologies and are constantly growing in this space.
We're forward thinking and do things a little differently, but that doesn't mean no student contact! You'll interact with students at advisories, communicate with them using online tools and guide a group of students as their Learning Advisor. We are committed to seeing you grow with us and development opportunities often crop up within the school.

You are interested in authentic learning; you model current pedagogy and are always coming up with new ideas. You're enthusiastic, collaborative, understand the key competencies of the New Zealand curriculum assessment practice and are committed to improving education outcomes for students.
