- 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)
- Based in any Te Kura location
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
We have an exciting part time, fixed term opportunity for one kaimahi to refresh, align and develop Phase 4- 5 (Y9-10, NCEA Level 1, 2 & 3) English modules to ensure we meet external requirements.
Dedicated support will be provided from within the Curriculum Wāhanga. This position will be in place for 2 terms from July until 9th of December 2025.
Ko koe tēnei | About you
You will understand the English learning area, have recent experience teaching English in New Zealand schools, and be comfortable and familiar with expectations of NZC and the NCEA assessment framework including interweaving mātauranga Māori, literacy, numeracy, and key competencies.
The position of contract Phase 4-5 English online curriculum writer includes:
- Refresh existing content
- Align content to the NZC
- Develop new modules to ensure adequate content coverage
- Connection and collaboration with the rōpu and Kaiako Matua throughout the development process
- Developing activities that promote learner agency and confidence in applying existing and new learning
- Liaison with the project team through all stages of the development process
