2026 Curriculum Development – Samoan Y1-10 -Resource Developer Roles
- Online resource/course writing
- 1 - 2 positions, Fixed term (January – December 2026), time allowance
- Full time, up to 1.0 FTE (up to 40 hours per week, hours negotiable)
- Based in any Te Kura location
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
We are looking for 1 - 2 suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and future-focused Kaiako (teacher) with current teacher registration to assist in 2026 with the development of our Years 1 - 10 Learning Samoan online course. Note this is an online writing role, and not a teaching position. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Project Leads, and members of the Curriculum Team.

We Are Looking For:
- Kaiako with current New Zealand registration
- Recent teaching experience in New Zealand schools
- Strong understanding of the Samoan learning area
- You will have in-depth knowledge of how the Samoan learning area works, have recent experience teaching Samoan in New Zealand schools, and be comfortable and familiar with expectations of Te Mātaiaho including interweaving mātauranga Māori, literacy, numeracy, and key competencies.
- The ability to design engaging, inclusive, and pedagogically sound learning resources that are clear, accessible, and responsive to the diverse needs of ākonga
- A willingness to engage with new online tools and to work to agreed timelines is essential.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Sharepoint, Google apps and Learning Management Systems is desirable
