2026 Curriculum Development – Arts Y1-10 -Resource Developer Roles
Part-time (0.6 FTE) (up to 24 hours per week, hours negotiable)
Fixed term: April – December 2026
Based in any Te Kura location: Wellington, Palmerston North, Masterton, New Plymouth, Hastings, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wairoa, Tauranga, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill or Queenstown
We have an exciting part-time, fixed-term opportunity for kaimahi to review, refresh, align, and develop Phase 1–4 (Years 1–10) Arts learning modules. This role support Te Kura's commitment to delivering high-quality, culturally responsive learning resources that meet external curriculum requirements.
Dedicated support will be provided from within the Curriculum Wāhanga. This position runs from April to December 2026, covering Terms 2, 3, and 4.

We are seeking experienced and passionate kaiako to support the review and development of engaging, inclusive learning resources aligned with Te Mātaiaho and the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum.
This is a unique opportunity to bring your kaiako expertise, cultural insight, and subject knowledge to life—helping create Arts resources that reflect the diverse identities, cultures, and creative voices of ākonga across Aotearoa.

Ko koe tēnei | About you
Registered kaiako (teacher) with a current teacher's practicing certificate who brings:
- Recent teaching experience in New Zealand schools
- Strong understanding of The Arts learning area (e.g. visual arts, dance, drama, music, or integrated arts)
- Familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum Refresh (NZCR / Te Mātaiaho), including the integration of mātauranga Māori, literacy, numeracy, and key competencies
- The ability to design engaging, inclusive, and pedagogically sound learning resources that are clear, accessible, and responsive to the diverse needs of ākonga
