Robert Walters is excited to partner with Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu in the search for a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of New Zealand's largest state-funded school, where you'll provide essential financial planning, analysis, and advice to the Board, Senior Leaders, and staff.

What You'll Do:
As a Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining financial integrity and ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
- Providing accurate financial management reports tailored to different audiences.
- Developing and maintaining high-quality advice and analysis.
- Creating and managing robust and accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Investigating and resolving fiscal issues promptly.
- Contributing expert advice to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Enhancing the budgeting and reporting capabilities of our financial systems.
- Offering training, resources, guidance, and support to kainga (cost centre) managers.
What You'll Bring:
We're looking for someone with a strong background in finance or accounting, along with excellent communication skills and a focus on quality customer service. The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in financial report writing.
- The ability to identify issues, make recommendations, and propose solutions.
- Adaptability and responsiveness to various requests and role requirements.
- Cultural competence, with an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Māori and tikanga Māori.
