Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the position
In this role you will be supporting hiring managers across Te Kura through the full recruitment journey—from advertising roles, screening applications, to coordinating and sitting in on interviews, completing pre-employment checks, making offers of employment and supporting onboarding kaimahi (staff).
This is a hands-on role where you'll be:
- The go-to person for both candidates and managers
- Helping ensure recruitment runs smoothly and reflects good practice
- Delivering a smooth experience for both managers and candidates
Ko koe ēnei | About you
We're looking for people who are genuinely passionate about recruiting great talent into the education sector, understanding the postive impact that the right person in the right role can have on ākonga.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Can communicate clearly and confidently
- Understand the importance of team fit and can work closely with hiring managers to find the right match — not just the right skillset
- Work well in a fast-paced environment that involves communicating with a range of teams
We also value:
- A good eye for detail and strong time management skills
- Respect for cultural diversity and a willingness to learn te reo Māori
- An interest in improving processes
- An appreciation for a bit of team banter

- Manaaki | How We Show Up — showing respect, generosity, and care
- Whanaungatanga | How We Team — building relationships and belonging

- Ākonga at the Centre — guiding every decision we make
Hei whakautu | In return
At Te Kura, you'll be supported by a collaborative HR team, enjoy flexible hybrid working, and benefit from additional leave over Easter Tuesday and the three days between Christmas and New Year. Most importantly, you'll help bring great people into Te Kura – people who will make a difference for our ākonga across Aotearoa.
