Job Description
Fixed Term (August/September 2026 until February 2027 or earlier in the event of the incumbent returning to work earlier)
Full-time 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Based in Wellington
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the position
In this role you will be supporting hiring managers across Te Kura through the full recruitment journey—from advertising roles, screening applications, to coordinating and sitting in on interviews, completing pre-employment checks, making offers of employment and supporting onboarding kaimahi (staff).
This is a hands-on role where you'll be:
- The go-to person for both candidates and managers
- Helping ensure recruitment runs smoothly and reflects good practice
- Delivering a smooth experience for both managers and candidates

You are genuinely passionate about recruiting great talent into the education sector, understanding the postive impact that the right person in the right role can have on ākonga.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Can communicate clearly and confidently
- Understand the importance of team fit and can work closely with hiring managers to find the right match — not just the right skillset
- Work well in a fast-paced environment that involves communicating with a range of teams
