Job Description
Fixed Term (August - Septemer 2026) - provide cover well the incumbent is on leave.
Full Time 1FTE (40 Hours per week)
Will be based in our Wellington tari (office).

Join our Wellington team as a passionate and innovative Kaiako (Years 7–10), providing cover for long-term leave until the end of Term 3.
In this role, you will:

Design and deliver personalised, authentic learning programmes tailored to the strengths and needs of ākonga.

Facilitate weekly Huinga Ako, guiding and supporting students through their educational journeys.

Collaborate with colleagues and interact with students online and in person to foster meaningful learning experiences.
This role supports Te Ara Hou, Te Kura's Years 7-10 learning programme, delivering personalised learning that values ākonga identity, interests and aspirations while building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and digital learning.

You will bring:
- New Zealand teacher registration and a current practising certificate
- Strong knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and assessment practices
- A calm, inclusive, and supportive approach to teaching and pastoral care
- Confidence using digital tools to connect with learners
- Enthusiasm for collaborative, values driven teaching
